The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for Extremely Premature Infants "OHMATDYT" has been equipped with a modern transcutaneous jaundice detector (bilirubinometer).
"Bilirubinometer" is a convenient device used for clinical research of jaundice in newborns by non-invasively measuring the concentration of bilirubin.
Funds for the bilirubinometer were successfully raised at the "CHARITY RUN 2023", which took place on July 30. The event was organized by the foundation among the hospital staff of Ohmatdyt and all those willing to contribute to charity.
"Thanks to the bilirubinometer, we can reduce the stressful or painful experience that children typically go through when blood is drawn to determine bilirubin levels. Our new device does not require invasive intervention," says Yulia Velychko, a nurse in the department.
We also want to express our gratitude for the collaboration to the company LLC "BIOMED," which provided this equipment for free trial!
Glory to Ukraine!
